Richard Lewer 'Lance Armstrong' Lithograph Print
Lance Armstrong editioned print by Richard Lewer.
In 2013, after more than a decade of vehemently denying blood doping and suing anyone who dared to challenge him, seven times Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong came clean in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. Armstrong admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs and blood transfusions throughout much of his career. During the interview, he stated that his "mythic, perfect story" was "one big lie", and attributed his denials to being "a guy who expected to get whatever he wanted, and to control every outcome”.
