Janet Laurence: After Nature is an exhibition catalogue published by the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in 2019, to coincide with the survey exhibition of the same name.

After Nature is the first major survey of one of Australia’s leading contemporary artists, Janet Laurence. Encompassing key works and themes from the artist’s practice, the exhibition and accompanying catalogue feature over 30 years of work ranging from sculpture and installation to photography and video.

Exploring the interconnection of all living things – animal, plant, mineral – through a multi-disciplinary approach, she has employed diverse materials to explore the natural world in all its beauty and complexity, and to highlight the environmental challenges it faces today: the era of the Anthropocene."

The beautiful hardcover, full-colour, 264-page publication with a cloth-bound spine was edited by MCA Chief Curator Rachel Kent, who also authored its curatorial essay. Contributors include Terence Maloon, James Putnam, Geoffrey C Bowker, Iain McCalman, and Nina Miall.
